Sound Design

The production of The Taffetas used microphones for the four singers, recording announcements, and developing a preshow, interission, and postshow compliation of sound clips relative to the 1950's. The research was fascinating in finding the clips from advertisements, television shows and radio announcements. The challenge was obtaining and manipulating enough of these sound clips for the amount of time needed - you need to know that most of the clips were about a minute long or less and it required an enormous number of clips for 20 min of preshow, 20 min of intermission, and 10 min or so of postshow.
